The year 2023 marks the beginning of a historic partnership: Vipal Rubber joins Honda to provide the best to motorcycle users in Brazil. The company became the official tyre supplier for some models, the market leader in the motorcycle segment. 

Vipal will supply tyres directly for the production of Honda motorcycles in Brazil. Honda CG 160 Fan will be the first model to come out with Vipal tyres as the original factory item. The motorcycle will receive the Street ST600 80/100-18 (front) and Street ST600 90/90-18 (rear) tyres, both Tubeless.  

Throughout the month of June the first units of the CG 160 Fan began to arrive at dealerships already equipped with Vipal tyres.  

Manufactured at the Vipal Rubber plant located in Feira de Santana, Bahia, motorcycle tyres stand out for their quality, safety, resistance, and durability. The Manager of the Two-Wheeled Business Unit of Vipal Rubber, Felipe Henzel, points out that the brand's tyres have undergone rigorous tests. These factors contributed to the choice as Honda's new supplier in Brazil.

The segment is growing and last year, about 1.4 million units were produced, according to data from Abraciclo. The year 2023 represents a moment of great optimism in the industry for an even greater evolution, with the expectation of producing 1.5 million motorcycle units, according to the Association's projection’, says Henzel. ‘This is the pinnacle of the development of our two-wheeler business, which started back in 2012. We believe in how much we can actively contribute and add quality with our products to a brand that is a reference in the motorcycle segment in Brazil, and that it has throughout its history an undisputed leadership in the ranking of sales of two-wheeled vehicles’, he adds.
