Vipal Rubber strengthens global position at The Tire Cologne 2026
Vipal Rubber, one of the world’s largest rubber manufacturers and a reference in tyre retreading, ended its participation at The Tire Cologne 2026 on a positive note, exceeding parameters from previous years. The event, held from 9 to 11 June in Cologne, Germany, served as a stage for the company to reaffirm its long-term commitment to the international market and expand its partner network in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region. The delegation, comprised of directors, managers, technical and commercial teams, was crucial to welcome attendees from over 25 countries in the booth, including delegations from Europe, Middle East, Africa and even Latin America. One of the highlights of the program was the lecture by Frederico Schmidt, General Manager of Vipal EMEA, who presented the panel “V® Super Hybrid: Advanced Compounding for Tyre Retreading,” focused on Advanced Compounds for Tyre Retreading. At the occasion, the challenges of mixed applications due to increase of operating costs and pressures for efficiency and sustainability of fleets were discussed. “From actual testing, we have confirmed our new compound has improved by 11.5% the performance in the forest segment and 12.5% in raw materials transportation, reducing tears and pullouts and preserving the integrity of the casing,” reported Schmidt. In addition to the V® Super Hybrid compounds, visitors had the opportunity to see the high-performance treads VT570 and VL170A, as well as DV-UMe, developed specifically for electrical vehicle fleets. The product is currently in the final phase of field testing across several European countries, with quite positive results, reinforcing its potential to support the ongoing electrification of commercial fleets across the continent. “The participation at The Tire Cologne 2026 reaffirmed the relevance of this investment to strengthen our brand. The event allowed us to deepen relationships with long-term partners, create new opportunities for collaboration, and reinforce our operation in Europe, where we have been present for more than two decades. As a result, we further increased the visibility and solidity of our global positioning,” states Felipe Henzel, Commercial Director – International Markets and Two-Wheels Division at Vipal Rubber. These results crown an important first semester for the company and indicate the continuity of this expansion in the second semester. During the fair, Vipal also paid tributes to partners and clients, giving commemorative plates alluding to long years of partnership.
