Vipal Rubber was once again a winner of the Recircle Awards. This award recognises the contributions made by companies and professionals to the Circular Economy within the tyre manufacturing, retreading, and recycling industries. Vipal achieved the award as the Best Supplier of Accessories and Consumables for Tyre Retreading, a new category added to the current edition. In 2021, in the first edition of the award, Vipal won all three categories in which it competed: Best Supplier of Precured Treads, Best Supplier of Tyre Retreading Equipment, and the Best Innovation in the Tyre Retreading Industry with the “Eye Control” case.
According to Vipal Rubber´s International Business Director, Leandro Rigon, being recognised again in this award results from the excellence that Vipal constantly seeks. “The Recircle Awards is an important initiative for disseminating and recognising good practices in the circular economy, the new and retreading tyre industry, and final disposal through recycling”, says Rigon. “We are very proud of the recognitions granted by Vipal in the first two editions, as this shows us that we are on the right path to fulfil the mission of an industry that has, by nature, the essence of the circular economy and of a company that values to supply the more than 90 countries where it operates, with quality and technology, which meet all the requirements so that the tyres have the maximum use and the lowest possible environmental impact”, concludes.
The winners of the Recircle Awards were announced in a ceremony streamed online on April 25. The trophies will be presented in-person to the winners at Awards Ceremonies to be held on May 24th following the Global Retreading Conference at the Tire Cologne in Germany, and on May 26th, following the Future of Retreading and Recycling Conference at Autopromotec in Bologna, Italy. This year, the trophies were redesigned by the Spanish company Neusus Upcycling and have been manufactured from moulded crumb rubber derived from end-of-life tyres, in keeping with the sustainability goals of the Recircle Awards concept.
The Recircle Awards are sponsored by Autopromotec and the specialised magazines Retreading Business, Tyre & Rubber Recycling, Tyre Trends, The Tyreman, SA Treads, and Valebridge Media Services. The awards show the outstanding players of the year in 16 categories from different segments of the tyre retreading industry worldwide, especially companies and managers that promote innovation and develop sustainable initiatives and products that favor the circular economy.
