The company has been operating on the European continent since 2006 with a branch based in Valencia, Spain, responsible for serving Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Over nearly two decades, Vipal has consistently ranked among the top five companies in the segment in Europe, particularly excelling in providing solutions for the tyre retreading market.

In 2023, Vipal strengthened its presence in the region with the arrival of Commercial representative Thomas Giermann. With over 18 years of experience in the sector, Giermann is intensifying operations in three significant markets for Vipal: Germany, Austria and Switzerland. “We are very happy the company offered us this challenge of seeking new partners. The proven quality of Vipal’s products and services will support us in this process,” says Frederico Schmidt, General Manager for Vipal in Europe.

Recently, Vipal Rubber was recognised in four categories at the international Recircle Awards and also gained prominence in the 2023 Fleet & Service Award, sponsored by Automotive magazine from Portugal, in the Environment category. These acknowledgments validate Vipal´s commitment to meeting partner needs.

Vipal’s technology focuses on developing more sustainable products, such as the Greenlig FR, a raw material that replaces compounds of petrochemical origin. This non-toxic lignin-based antioxidant, used by Vipal in the manufacturing of tyre retreading products, is the result of a partnership with Greenway, CYA Rubber’s sustainable business division, and Suzano, the largest global producer of eucalyptus cellulose pulp.

Currently, the company has seven factories, located in Brazil, Argentina and the United States. Additionally, has a Research and Technology Centre, considered one of the most modern in the world in the tyre retreading segment, comprising 13 laboratories for the evaluation and approval of 100% of raw materials and suppliers.
